Withdrawal and Refunds
This translation is provided for information. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

The period
You have fourteen days from receipt of your creation to change your mind, without having to give any reason, in accordance with Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code.
After that period, do write to us all the same. The Maison considers each situation and may accept a return as a goodwill gesture, on a case-by-case basis. Such a gesture creates no right and does not apply to future orders.
The pieces concerned
The right of withdrawal applies to collection pieces ordered on the site, including those made after your order in the materials, stones and sizes offered on the product page.
In accordance with Article L221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code, it does not apply to pieces made to your specifications or clearly personalised:
- a creation designed for you alone;
- a piece engraved at your request;
- a size outside the sizes offered;
- a unique stone selected with you and reserved for your order.
In these cases, the exclusion is brought to your attention and you expressly accept it before payment. The conditions for cancelling a bespoke creation are set out in Article 9 of our terms and conditions of sale.
How to exercise it
Write to us before the period expires, by any means that clearly sets out your decision. You may use the model form below, although you are under no obligation to do so.
"For the attention of the Maison MELIKA. I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the contract for the following creation: [description of the piece]. Ordered on [date], received on [date]. Name: […]. Address: […]. Date: […]."
We will reply with instructions for returning the piece. Please wait for our reply before sending it: this allows us to track your parcel and receive it in good order.
The return
The creation must be returned to us no later than fourteen days after you notify us of your decision, complete: the piece, its box, its pouch and its certificate of authenticity.
Return costs are borne by you. We ask you to use a tracked service insured for the value of the piece: until the Maison receives it, the risk of loss or damage remains with you.
The refund
We will refund the sums paid no later than fourteen days after receiving the creation or proof that it has been sent, using the same means of payment as the one used for the order.
If the piece comes back marked
In accordance with Article L221-23 of the French Consumer Code, you are liable for any diminished value resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the creation.
Trying on a ring, looking at it in the light, comparing it: none of this diminishes its value. Wearing it for several days, scratching it, dulling its plating, loosening a stone or having it altered by a third party: all of this does.
In that case, the Maison will deduct from your refund the actual cost of restoring the piece, for guidance: polishing €60, deep cleaning €50, stone tightening €50, re-gilding of vermeil €70 to €110 depending on the piece, rhodium plating from €80. This amount is notified to you in writing before the refund, together with the photographs taken before dispatch and on receipt of the return. No flat-rate percentage is applied: you pay only what the restoration actually costs.
If the creation comes back incomplete, a missing box or certificate of authenticity is also deducted at its replacement cost.
Piece damaged on arrival or not as described
This is not a matter of withdrawal but of the statutory guarantees. Write to us with a photograph: we will cover the return costs and repair, replace or refund the piece. Full details are set out in Article 10 of our terms and conditions of sale.
